Namaste. We have been professionally offering yoga and meditation teacher certification since 2001, for 19 yearsWe believe learning to teach yoga can be educational, inspirational and joyful.​ It's also our belief that yoga should be taught in a professional and encouraging environment that offers the necessary skillset, confidence and inspiration to teach and share yoga. 

Graduates from our Kind Karma® Yoga, Awaken with Meditation and Gong & Sound Training Programs are currently teaching all over the world, including such places as Ecuador, Costa Rica, South Africa, Japan, Canada, California, Colorado, Florida, Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, New York and Long Island.

Kind Karma® Yoga® is a Heart-Centered Yoga because it incorporates heart-based practices that promote self healing and self empowerment. This style of yoga awakens our innate creative and healing energies by combining traditional, contemporary and innovative techniques.

"Meditation is a life-long practice, and you will benefit most by not attaching or holding onto the results of your daily practice. Just do the best you can every day, and then let go. After a particular session, if you feel the need to reflect upon or process what happened during your meditation, then make a contract with yourself - a gentle agreement, that upon completion of your reflection you will let go of whatever you reflected on. Stick to it! Personal contracts only have meaning when you uphold the integrity of that contract. Just remember meditation is the art of letting go, not the art of holding on. With meditation, if you feel a need to hold on to something, then hold onto FAITH."

Course Overview

"Awaken with Meditation" is an inner journey of cultivating peace, healing, harmony and high vibration in our body, mind, heart and spirit."

  • This 2 hour course is designed whether you would like to learn how to meditate, considering meditation as a career path, or simply wish to deepen your practice and enhance your knowledge.

  • As a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provide (YACEP), this course credits 2 Yoga Alliance CE Hours.

  • Chairs and meditation props will be available for comfort, however we do recommend you bring your personal meditation cushion, if you have one.

  • No experience is necessary.

Awaken with Meditation

Learning Objectives

Students Will Learn:

  • What meditation is and what it's not. The 7 myths of meditation. 

  • Body scanning & using the breath to calm the mind.

  • Getting comfortable for a silent, sitting meditation.

  • Sound awakening & concentration technique to overcome mental restlessness.

  • Introduction to walking meditation.

  • How to open & awaken the heart chakra through loving kindness - metta sound meditation.

Course Description

Course Includes:

  • Meditation discussion, walking meditation and seated meditation. Includes 15 minute break.
